How to achieve the oil-water balance in the cutting fluid of the emulsion machine? There are three kinds of mixed systems containing oil, water and surfactant: emulsion, microemulsion, dissolved micelle and reverse micelle solution (swollen micelle solution, most products belong to the first two types, and a few low oil products belong to the third type.
The water content in the emulsified oil is generally less than 10%, the oil content zui is as high as 80%, and the concentrated solution is W/O type. Only when the system has a low HLB value can it be stable. The appearance of the emulsion diluent is usually milky white and not bright. The diameter of the dispersed phase oil drops is about 0.1~10um, and the visible light wavelength is 0.4~0.8um. Therefore, the reflection of light in the emulsion is significant.
In addition, the lower limit (about 0.1um) of the size of the general emulsified oil droplet is close to the resolution limit (about 0.2um) of the ordinary microscope.
The microemulsion oil-water content can be as high as 30~60%, and the oil content is generally ≤ 30%. Its concentrated solution is O/W type, the diluent is mostly transparent liquid, and the diameter of oil drops is usually 0.05~0.1um- The water content of some microemulsions with oil content of more than 50% can also be reduced to less than 20%. The concentrated solution is W/O type, and the diluent is blue white translucent liquid. It is a transition emulsion (small emulsion) with the oil droplet size between ordinary emulsion and microemulsion, and the droplet size is 0.1~0.4um
