When people think about mixing operations, the first thing that comes to mind is the standard stirring method, which is both simple and intuitive, but its efficiency is often low. The Ohno high shear emulsification function, on the other hand, breaks the liquid or solid phase into very small particles and then disperses them into continuous liquid phase media to generate a homogeneous and stable combination. It often just takes a few minutes or even seconds because the energy it introduces into the medium is 1000 times that of stirring.
A high shearing-rate dispersion and emulsifying machine is made up of a group or groups of rotors and stators that rotate at a very high speed while functioning.
The high-speed revolving rotor quickly draws material into the rotor's chamber, influencing it by shearing and dispersion effects. The material is forced to flow through a small gap between the stator and the rotor and exit through holes or slots in the stator.
The massive shearing force produced by the speed gradient in the gap between the static stator and the high-speed rotating rotor increases the mass transferring intensity, improves the dissolving ability of single and macro-molecule materials, causes the pumped media to flow in a turbulent state, and promotes the distributing state for both solid and liquid particles. High frequency pressure fluctuation is caused by three-dimensional local speed fluctuation that varies with time phase. Several smashing mechanisms collaborate to scatter the media to extremely fine granularity.
