The batch high shear emulsifying mixer is capable of high speed rotation in a fixed stator. As the machine rotates through each opening in the stator, they mechanically shear the particles and droplets and expel the material into the surrounding mixture at high speed, creating intense hydraulic shear. The material is discharged as quickly as possible, and more material is drawn into the bottom of the rotor/stator generator, which promotes continuous flow and rapid mixing.
The batch high shear emulsifying mixer is a moveable, and this move configuration provides the flexibility to use a single mixer in multiple containers. It also allows the user to change the position of the stator to handle different materials and batches.
The rotor/stator of the batch model is typically located 2-3 diameters from the bottom of the vessel and is slightly off center. To ensure adequate suspension of heavier solids, the rotor/stator generator can be positioned at the center of the vessel. Interchangeable stators offer unlimited flexibility for a variety of product formulations. The batch high shear emulsifying mixer models are available in a variety of sizes depending on the customer's needs.
