Introduction To High Shear Homogeneous Emulsifying Machine

Aug 08, 2023

When people carry out mixing operations, the first thing they think of is the traditional stirring method, which is both simple and intuitive, but the efficiency of stirring is often not very high. Dispersion technology is not the case, while the Ohno high shear homogenization emulsification function breaks the liquid or solid phase into very small particles, and then disperses them into a continuous liquid phase medium to form a uniform and stable mixture. The energy it introduces into the medium is 1000 times that of stirring, so it often only takes a few minutes, Even for a few seconds.
Unlike traditional stirring theory, its speed is relatively high and the impeller is small. It is designed with a new concept of small impeller and high speed, and the impeller diameter is only 1/10-1/75 of the diameter of the mixing tank. In addition to general convection, the high shear homogeneous emulsification machine also has impacts, squeezing, shearing, and friction. The precise fit of the rotor and stator ensures that the material can withstand hundreds of thousands of shear cycles per minute. Therefore, it can quickly crush the particles in the material into submicron fineness in an extremely short time.
Wuxi Jiangke High Shear Homogeneous Emulsifier has a wide range of applications, suitable for mixing, dispersion, emulsification, homogenization, depolymerization, suspension, crushing, extraction, and dissolution.
Explanation of working principle
Fill the mixing tank with enough liquid, start the motor, and its shaft drives the turbine to rotate. At this time, an upward suction force is formed at the lower inlet of the stator to allow the material to enter the homogenization head. The material is subjected to high-speed impact, compression, shear, and friction for the first time within the homogenizing head. When sprayed horizontally through a special hole in the stator, the material is subjected to a second high-speed impact, compression, and shear. The horizontally sprayed material flows radially and axially in the homogeneous mixing tank, causing the material to undergo a third impact. The high shear homogeneous emulsification machine generates random vortices in the mixing tank due to the mutual impact and displacement of the dual flow modes, as well as the cross mixing and shearing with the radial flow.
