How To Choose Water Treatment Equipment

Aug 20, 2022

Water treatment equipment can be divided into three types according to the degree of water purification: water purification equipment, soft water equipment and pure water equipment. Let's first look at the differences between the three.

Common water purification equipment

Working principle: it consists of a single PP cotton filter element, or a single activated carbon filter element or a water purifier composed of PP cotton and activated carbon. After the tap water enters the PP cotton filter element, only substances and water molecules less than 0.1um are allowed to seep from the membrane wall, and harmful substances greater than 0.1um are trapped in the membrane core, so as to achieve a simple purification effect. The filtration precision of ordinary water purifier is not high. It can only remove impurities, rust, sediment, red insects, etc. in the water. It cannot completely remove scale. It belongs to primary filtration and generally does not have flushing function. Therefore, the PP cotton filter element needs to be replaced frequently. It needs to be replaced every 3-5 months according to the different raw water quality.

Water softening equipment

working principle:

The soft water equipment adopts ion exchange technology to exchange the functional ions on the resin with the calcium and magnesium ions in the water, so as to absorb the excess calcium and magnesium ions in the water and achieve the purpose of removing scale (calcium carbonate or magnesium carbonate). The soft water equipment can filter the calcium and magnesium ions in the water, and the soft water made will not produce scale, with good water conductivity and high heating efficiency. It is necessary to replenish industrial granular salt to the salt tank regularly. The later maintenance cost is low, and the problem of clogging the boiler, valves and pipelines caused by scale can be completely solved.

Pure water equipment

Working principle: the pure water equipment adopts RO membrane reverse osmosis water treatment technology. When tap water enters the RO membrane pipe, under the action of water pressure, the dense micropores on the membrane surface only allow water molecules to pass through, and any other substances are trapped in the RO pipe and discharged during RO membrane flushing.

The filtration rate of reverse osmosis membrane can reach more than 98.5%, and the filtration rate of fine / bacteria, heavy metals and other substances can reach 100%. The water produced is also softened water, which is not easy to scale, but the water production rate is low, and a large amount of wastewater will be produced.
